Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Ruislip is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term contract to deliver letters and parcels to our communities. You’ll be active daily, working outdoors and interacting with customers, with a focus on accuracy and service.

The role involves 30 hours per week across 5 days in 7, including weekends, and includes a driving element with training provided. Overtime is paid; full training and a red van await you.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence is required.
• Must pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
