Job summary

WHC Group invites applications for a Photography Technician at the Watford Campus. The role focuses on maintaining cameras, lenses, lighting and studio equipment while supporting practical sessions and managing loaned gear.

They will monitor stock, uphold safety standards, and provide clear technical guidance to students to build confidence and independence in photographic practice. The position is 0.4 FTE with a friendly, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, studio lighting and digital workflows is essential.
• Darkroom processes or photographic printing experience would be advantageous.
• Able to guide students in safe, confident use of equipment and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cameras, lenses, lighting and studio equipment.
• Support practical studio sessions and manage equipment loans/returns.
• Monitor stock and maintain safe, organised working environments.
