Job summary

Independent Lives in Ludgershall is seeking a patient Personal Assistant to support a young man with autism. This part-time, on-site role (15 hours per week) requires a UK right to work and a DBS check if required; location is Ludgershall with days/times to be confirmed.

You will help build confidence and independence through daily activities, including cooking, shopping, gym visits, and social engagement, while promoting safety and self-reliance.

Responsibilities

• Prompting and encouraging him with day-to-day activities
• Supporting him with trips and activities outside the home
• Accompanying and encouraging him to attend the gym
• Supporting him with shopping and learning to shop independently
• Helping him develop cooking and meal-preparation skills
• Encouraging communication, confidence and social independence
• Providing reassurance and gentle prompting when needed
• Supporting him to make choices and take more responsibility for his own routines
