Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living is seeking a compassionate Part-time Personal Assistant to support a 9-year-old boy in the Rhydyfelin area. You will take him into the community, help him stay safe, and occasionally stay at home. You must be comfortable with a dog and a cat, and with his ASD and non-verbal needs.

Hours are 6 hours per week (preferably in one Saturday shift). Pay is £14 per hour plus 40p per mile, paid monthly with holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Needs to have NI number
• DBS check required
• Right to work in UK verified

Responsibilities

• Take the child into the community and ensure safety at all times
• Occasionally stay at home with the child
• Help plan new places to go and keep the child calm
• Provide respite to parents
