Job summary

Abbey Gate College is seeking a skilled and caring female Teacher of Physical Education to join our team from February 2027 on a part-time (0.6 FTE) basis. The role is fixed term to cover maternity leave within the PE department.

Sport is a vital part of our provision, with PE taught at GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will deliver PE across all Key Stages and organise a wide range of co-curricular activities and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Examinable Physical Education taught at GCSE and A Level.
• Ability to teach PE at A Level in Sixth Form and GCSE in KS4 is essential.
• Female candidate due to safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE across all Key Stages.
• Organise and deliver a wide range of co-curricular sporting activities and fixtures.
• Collaborate with Senior School staff and others for shared PE provision as required.
