Job summary

The King's School, Gloucester is seeking a part-time PE and Games teacher (0.6 FTE) to join a high-performing Sports Department from January 2027. The role is a fixed-term contract through August 2027. Experience coaching netball and at least one other major school sport (hockey/cricket) is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree related to sport (or equivalent experience).
• Experience teaching KS3-5.
• Experience or willingness to deliver academic PE including A-Level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, resourcefulness and strong organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coaching of core King's sports (netball, rugby and/or cricket) from Year 4 to Year 13, abilities permitting.
• Provide academic PE teaching (GCSE/A-Level) appropriate to pupils’ ages.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children and young persons.
• Assess and record student progress per department policies.
• Develop and share teaching and learning resources; attend departmental meetings.
