Portfolio Payroll Limited in Hessle is seeking a part-time payroll specialist to join the team on a fixed-term contract through 2 July 2026. The role is 22.5–30 hours per week, with core days Monday and Tuesday and a third day Wed or Thu, onsite.

The successful candidate will manage weekly payroll and at least one lunar payroll, with iTrent experience desirable but not essential due to comprehensive user manuals. The role offers pro rata salary up to £33,000 depending on hours.

Job description

The position is a part-time role, working 22.5-30 hours per week.

Monday and Tuesday would be core working days, with the third day being either Wednesday or Thursday. Flexibility would be required around periods of annual leave within the team.

Our preference would be for the successful candidate to be based onsite in Hessle with the team on Tuesdays (and potentially Wednesdays).

The position is fixed term until 2 July 2026.

The maximum salary is £33,000.

Our preference is to appoint on a fixed-term contract; however, we would be open to considering an interim arrangement for the right candidate.

iTrent experience is desirable; however, we have comprehensive user manuals, so this is not essential.

There are five payrolls covering approximately 3,000 colleagues:

• Monthly
• Lunar 1
• Lunar 2
• Weekly
• Pension

The successful candidate would work on the weekly payroll and one lunar payroll.
