Job summary

Weston College Group is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (29.6 hours per week) for a maternity cover period. The role is based on-site at the Knightstone campus in Weston-super-Mare and reports to the Head of Payroll and Pensions.

The successful candidate will manage the monthly payroll for all college staff and subsidiaries, ensure timely RTI submissions, and maintain payroll records with accuracy while handling payroll and pension processing to meet statutory

Qualifications

• A recognised payroll qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a payroll environment.
• Solid understanding of payroll and pension processing.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads.
• Experience in education sector or with the iTrent system is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles.
• Updating and maintaining payroll records.
• Liaising with staff and management on payroll queries.
• Calculation of SMP, OMP, SSP and OSP payments.
• Timely RTI submissions including FPS submission.
