Job summary

Macfarlane Group UK Ltd. is hiring a Payroll Coordinator to join our central HR team in Coventry. You will own payroll coordination across UK and European operations, ensuring timely monthly payroll processing for about 1,000 staff across multiple sites.

You will work with HR and external payroll partners to keep processes compliant and efficient. Ideal candidates bring extensive payroll experience, strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll across multi-site or complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and legislation.
• Experience managing payroll data, reconciliations and reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with UK and/or European payrolls; ADP or similar systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process monthly payroll data accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform payroll analyses, reconciliations and reporting activities.
• Serve as a key contact for payroll queries from colleagues and managers.
• Liaise with external payroll provider to ensure service delivery.
• Support payroll integrations for acquired businesses and review processes.
• Assist with payroll audits, auto-enrolment, tax year-end and compliance.
• Maintain accurate payroll records with GDPR and confidentiality.
