Company details and job overview: Kenton Black Finance has partnered with an accountancy firm based in Chester, operating for over 20 years. Due to recent retirement, there is an opportunity for someone with payroll and practice experience to join the business. The position is permanent, with flexible working options of 2, 3, or 4 days per week, and the possibility of hybrid working.

Your new role as the part-time Payroll Assistant:

You will work alongside a full-time payroll assistant to process payrolls for approximately 300 clients on a weekly and monthly basis. Payroll sizes will vary from a few staff to about 50 staff members. Additionally, you will handle auto-enrollment matters.

Experience and Skills required:

1. Payroll experience in an accountancy practice or bureau
2. Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data processing
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
