Job summary

Education Matters Group is seeking a Pastoral Tutor for a well-established college in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on supporting students in vocational construction courses, keeping them engaged, motivated and on track to achieve their goals.

The position is part-time (3 days per week) with a daily rate of £130. You will work closely with teaching staff to monitor progress, support attendance and promote safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience or background in Business and BTEC.
• Experience working with young people in education, mentoring, or support role.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to students within the construction department.
• Support behaviour, attendance, and student engagement.
• Deliver one-to-one and group support sessions.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support learner progress.
• Monitor and track student development and wellbeing.
• Support students with barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes.
