Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting a Passenger Transport Driver to join our client on a permanent basis. You will provide safe and reliable transport for adults with complex needs, delivering scheduled routes to and from the centre in Harborne, while maintaining vehicle safety and completing required training.

Hours are 15 or 20 per week (7:00–9:30 and 15:00–17:30). Pay is £12.88 per hour. Requirements include a full UK driving licence, a D1 licence and an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence
• D1 licence
• Experience of driving passengers
• Ability to conduct yourself in a calm and respectful manner, reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
• Enhanced DBS disclosure

Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals to and from home, appointments, and activities in line with schedules
• Adhere with all traffic laws, regulations and organisational properties
• Adapt driving approach to meet the needs of individuals with visual impairments and complex needs
• Assist individuals when boarding and exiting vehicles, including use of mobility aids where required. Ensure seat belts, wheelchair restraints and other safety equipment are used correctly
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, mileage and checks
