Job summary

Plume Academy in Heybridge, United Kingdom, is seeking a part-time Parent Engagement Officer to lead strategies that improve parental engagement and school partnership. You will build positive relationships with families, support attendance, wellbeing and achievement, and work with staff and external agencies to remove barriers to engagement, including transition work for Year 6 pupils entering the school.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Level 3 qualification in Education, Family Support, Youth Work, Community Engagement, Social Care or related field.
• Degree qualification in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate parental engagement strategies.
• Develop relationships with families and external agencies.
• Support attendance, wellbeing and achievement.
• Coordinate transition from feeder primary schools to secondary education.
• Lead work toward the Parentkind Silver Award.
