Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Consultant in Palliative Care to join a fully integrated service across hospital, community and hospice settings. The post includes non-resident on-call duties and a minimum 1.5 hospice sessions per week, with work at Butterwick Hospice or Alice House Hospice as required.

The successful candidate will be part of a wider group of palliative medicine consultants and will participate in clinical governance, training, and service

Qualifications

• Full registration with GMC to practice (or eligible).
• CCST/CCT in Palliative Medicine (or within six months of interview) or on GMC Specialist Register.

Responsibilities

• Join the North Tees and Hartlepool integrated palliative care team across hospital, community and hospice settings.
• Base and clinical settings primarily with the North Tees and Hartlepool team at the University Hospital of North Tees.
• Work flexibly across hospital, community and hospice settings as needed.
• Maintain a minimum average of 1.5 hospice sessions per week and undertake regular hospice work at Butterwick or Alice House.
