Job summary

Linq Recruitment Specialists is assisting a specialist therapeutic weekly boarding and day school near Stamford, Rutland, to recruit an experienced Speech & Language Therapist. This part-time, term-time role is 20 hours per week, permanent, with ASAP start.

You will manage your own paediatric caseload, provide assessment and interventions for learners with speech, language and communication needs, and support staff to embed effective communication strategies across the school.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy.
• HCPC registered and RCSLT member.
• 2+ years' post-qualification experience.
• At least 1 year in paediatrics or specialist education.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs.
• Understanding of SEMH and/or SLCN.
• Strong clinical, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of an MDT.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• A full driving licence with business insurance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a varied paediatric caseload.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group interventions.
• Set targets and monitor learner progress.
• Complete EHCP, Annual Review and clinical reports.
• Provide advice, training and strategies to school staff.
• Work closely with education, care and therapy colleagues.
• Make external referrals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
• Contribute to the development of the therapy service.
• Work in line with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
