Job summary

Outreach Tutor (With QTS) based in Orpington is a part-time role offering 10-20 hours per week during term time. Qualifications

• SEMH experience beneficial but not essential.
• Flexibility in how support is delivered.

Responsibilities

• Provide sessions in school or at home depending on student needs.
• Deliver and adapt curriculum content in partnership with teaching staff.
• Build trust and emotional safety by working at the student's pace.
• Use positive, student-centred approaches to support engagement.
• Support independence while offering guidance when needed.
• Identify potential sensory or emotional challenges and respond appropriately.
• Encourage communication, provide processing time, and offer flexible choices.
• Help promote emotional regulation through a calm, consistent approach.
• Accompany the student to familiar and supportive environments when needed.
