Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking an Outreach Tutor (with QTS) to work in Hillingdon. The role involves delivering a tailored curriculum, home or school sessions, and collaboration with teachers to support autistic learners with SEMH needs where applicable.

The position is part-time (10–20 hours per week) with the option of home or school-based sessions and requires transport to homes or centres in Hillingdon. Start ASAP and salary £30–35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting autistic children or young people with additional needs.
• Experience with SEMH needs is beneficial but not essential.
• Flexibility in how support is delivered.
• Hold QTS.
• Have own transportation to homes or centres in Hillingdon.

Responsibilities

• Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student's needs.
• Deliver and adapt curriculum content in partnership with teaching staff.
• Build trust and emotional safety by working at the student's pace.
• Use positive, student-centred approaches to support engagement.
• Support independence while offering guidance when needed.
• Identify potential sensory or emotional challenges and respond appropriately.
• Encourage communication, provide processing time, and offer flexible choices.
• Help promote emotional regulation through a calm, consistent approach.
• Accompany the student to familiar and supportive environments when needed.

Outreach Tutor (With QTS) Hillingdon
Location: Hillingdon
Hours: 10-20 hours per week (part-time), term-time only (Monday-Friday availability required)
Pay: £30-35 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and supportive Outreach tutor (with QTS) to work with young people who require additional learning and emotional support. This is a rewarding role as an based in Hillingdon that involves helping to create a positive and responsive learning environment across both home and school settings in the Hillingdon area. Some planning (alongside school staff) and regular feedback to parents and wider professionals will be part of the role.

Outreach Tutor Role:

Based in Hillingdon this part-time position involves delivering a tailored curriculum in collaboration with teachers and other support mentors if required. Strong behaviour-support and relationship-building skills are essential.

• Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student's needs
