Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust’s Lancaster & Morecambe Older Adults Community Mental Health Team is recruiting a Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse for 22.5 hours. Based at DeVitre House, Lancaster, the post covers the Lancaster & Morecambe district and operates Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00.

The post requires an RMN with current NMC registration, excellent communication, and a person‑centred, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• RMN with current NMC registration.
• Experience working with older adults with mental health needs.
• Ability to work in patients' homes and community environments.
• Team player with good communication and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor your own caseload.
• Provide quality care and treatment for patients aged 65+ with complex mental health needs.
• Work with patients, carers and other professionals in community/home settings.
• Undertake generic clinical duties to support MDT functions and supervise students.
