Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking an accommodation cleaner to start ASAP at the prestigious events and meeting centre at Cannington Court in Somerset TA5. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a temporary six-week contract.

You will clean guest accommodation to a high standard, follow COSHH guidelines, replenish essentials, report maintenance issues, and coordinate with colleagues to keep areas presentable. Pay is £13.45 per hour plus holiday pay, with weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining guest accommodation
• Completing routine and deep cleaning tasks per schedules
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely following COSHH guidelines
• Monitoring cleanliness during trading hours and responding to spillages
• Replenishing essential supplies such as toilet paper, soap and towels
• Reporting maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the manager
• Working with team members to keep all areas clean and presentable
• Maintaining high personal hygiene and using PPE when required

£13.45 per hour + holiday pay. START ASAP. 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday. Temporary opportunity - initially 6 weeks. Possibility of further work for the right candidate. Must have own transport as location is not serviced well by public transport. Free parking. Weekly pay.

• Cleaning and maintaining guest accommodation
• Completing routine and deep cleaning tasks in line with schedules, covering floors, surfaces, toilets, and high‑touch areas.
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly, following COSHH guidelines.
• Monitoring cleanliness during trading hours and responding promptly to spillages or urgent cleaning needs.
• Replenishing essential supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly, including following recycling procedures.
• Reporting maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to the relevant manager.
• Working closely with other team members and departments to ensure all areas remain clean and presentable.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene standards and using PPE when required.
