Job summary

EDF Energy in Glasgow (Atlantic Quay) is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to deliver proactive health support for our people. This part-time role covers 22 hours per week across Tue, Wed and Thu 08:30–16:30, pro rata to full-time equivalent salary based on experience.

You will provide a broad Occupational Health service, work with OH, HR, Health & Safety and management teams, and use clinical expertise to support colleagues and inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Recognised Occupational Health Advisor qualification.
• Experience in OH, including complex case management and mental health.
• Experience or knowledge of health screening and statutory health surveillance (noise, respiratory, skin).
• Strong understanding of medical confidentiality, ethics and accountability.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) as a minimum.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Health advice to managers on sickness absence, rehabilitation, workplace adjustments and duties restrictions.
• Manage complex OH cases and support rehabilitation and return to work.
• Conduct health screening, fitness for work assessments and statutory health surveillance.
• Provide guidance on OH strategies, policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Support mental wellbeing and wellbeing campaigns within the organisation.
• Be a point of contact for drug and alcohol testing where required.
• Build strong relationships with HR, Health & Safety and management teams.
• Maintain governance, quality systems and conduct audits.
• Collaborate with EDF’s wider OH community.
