Job summary

Acorn Education Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Link 2 nurture base at Willowbrook Primary School in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The role focuses on pupils with emotional and social needs to access the curriculum and progress in learning.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE English and Maths at grade C, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and with staff. SEND experience is advantageous; First Aid training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Has at least grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with pupils, staff and parents.
• Team player with a positive, flexible and patient attitude.
• First Aid trained or willing to undertake training.
• SEND experience (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in learning activities within the Link 2 nurture base.
• Work flexibly with teaching staff to meet emotional and social needs of pupils.
• Assist in delivering an adaptive curriculum to enable progress.
