Job summary

Storal in Basingstoke is seeking a Nursery Assistant Chef/Cook for part-time hours (Mon-Fri, 12:00–16:00). You will support the Nursery Cook, preparing nutritious meals and upholding high safety and hygiene standards in the nursery kitchen.

Applicants should hold Level 2 Food and Hygiene and have experience in a commercial kitchen; duties include catering for dietary needs and stock management, with deputising duties during absences.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification required.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen as an assistant cook/chef or similar preferred.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Catering for children with specific dietary needs and ensuring meals meet safety standards.
• Assist in preparing nutritious meals and deputise for the Nursery Cook during absences.
