Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking an experienced Advanced Speech and Language Therapist for neonates and lactation. This 0.43 WTE role combines SLT and lactation duties within the Level 3 Neonatal Unit, acute paediatrics, and complex outpatient clinics.

You will work to improve feeding and neurodevelopmental outcomes through direct intervention and cross‑disciplinary teaching.

Qualifications

• Specialist SLT service for high-risk neonates on NNU
• Incorporates maternal lactation support and neonatal feeding
• Engagement in teaching and service development across neonatal and paediatric teams

Responsibilities

• Provide predominantly in-patient SLT and lactation support to high-risk neonates on NNU
• Deliver expert SLT knowledge to drive service improvement and quality outcomes
• Supervise internal and external SLT recipients within this speciality
• Provide advanced teaching to multi-professional audiences
• Support cross-service initiatives and national professional collaborations
