Job summary

Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil is seeking a part-time Music Technician to support the music department. The role covers 18.25 hours per week during term time, plus five inset days, with duties including preparing classrooms, materials and equipment for lessons.

You will assist teaching staff and students in safe, economical use of equipment, help create new teaching resources, and keep spaces clean and well maintained. A 6-month probation applies, with development opportunities ahead.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classrooms, workshops and wider facilities with safe, tidy working environment.
• Prepare, supply and collect teaching materials, displays and equipment, providing technical assistance.
• Support teaching staff and students in safe and economical use of equipment and materials.
• Assist in creating new teaching resources and materials.
• Ensure all equipment and spaces are kept clean, tidy and safe.
