Job summary

Brighton and Sussex Medical School is seeking a Research Assistant in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the Clinical Sciences Imaging Centre in Brighton for 12 months, with potential extension up to 6 months. Part-time hours up to 0.5 FTE are considered; fixed term contract.

The role focuses on collecting and analysing ultralow field MRI data for an ARUK-funded study and evaluating patient experiences across high and ultralow field scanners.

Qualifications

• Experience with imaging data, particularly ultralow field MRI.
• Strong MR physics foundation and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Matlab or Python for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and conduct scanning experiments.
• Collaborate with clinicians at SPFT to recruit patients.
• Coordinate scanning protocols with Kent and Medway Medical School.
• Work with neuroradiologists on imaging data evaluation.
• Present findings at conferences and research events.
