Job summary

Westgate Healthcare Ltd in Hertfordshire is seeking a part-time Minibus Driver to support our elderly residents in getting out and about safely. You will drive between care homes across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Essex, for 22.5 hours each week with a 8:00am–4:00pm pattern.

You’ll be a friendly, reliable driver who prioritises passenger safety, assists boarding and completes safety checks. The role offers permanent, part-time work at £12.71 per hour with training and development

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required with 2 years' driving experience.
• Safe, patient and caring approach to supporting elderly residents.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving the minibus and prioritising passenger safety.
• Assist residents boarding and alighting, including ramps and wheelchairs.
• Carry out pre-use safety checks on brakes, lights and tyres.
• Keep the minibus clean and well maintained.
• Plan safe routes and coordinate timings with the Home Manager.
• Adhere to risk assessments and emergency protocols.
• Provide friendly, patient service to residents on every journey.
