Job summary

Lift Feversham is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to look after students during break times across dining areas, playgrounds and other spaces. You will help maintain safety, model positive behaviour, and support pupils during lunch periods.

Prior school experience is not required; a caring, patient approach is valued and basic first aid knowledge can be beneficial. The role is 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only), with activities across lunch periods and play times.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required, but caring approach for young people is essential.
• Calm demeanor under pressure and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Basic first aid training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keep students safe during break times in dining areas and around the school.
• Monitor and support behaviour during lunch breaks in a calm, fair manner.
• Identify hazards or concerns and act quickly to ensure safety.
• Support students who are upset or experiencing bullying and report concerns to staff.
• Assist in organising lunchtime clubs or activities when needed.
• Keep tables and benches clean and tidy after meals.
