Job summary

White Court School in Great Notley, Braintree is seeking a caring Lunchtime First Aid Member of Staff to join our dedicated midday team. You will act as the designated first-aid responder for minor injuries, illness, or medical needs on the playground and in the dining hall.

You will maintain accurate first aid records on the CPOMS system and contact parents when required, while liaising with teachers and office staff on follow-ups. A calm, patient, and approachable manner is essential.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold a First Aid qualification (or be willing to undergo certified training).
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is advantageous.
• Calm, patient and approachable when dealing with children, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• First Aid Provision: Administer prompt and appropriate first aid to pupils during lunchtime and maintain records on the CPOMS system.
• Communication: Call parents when required and liaise with teachers and office staff on incidents or follow-ups.

White Court School is looking for a caring and responsible Lunchtime First Aid Member of Staff to join our dedicated midday team.

You will help ensure a safe, secure, and positive environment for our pupils during the lunch break. Your main duties will be acting as the designated first-aid responder for minor injuries, illness, or medical needs on the playground and in the dining hall.

Key Responsibilities:

• First Aid Provision: Administer prompt and appropriate first aid to pupils who are ill or injured during lunchtime. Maintain accurate records on the CPOM's system (School's first aid recording system)
• Communication: Make phone calls to parents when required to inform of illness, injury or any other medical needs. Liaise with teachers, and office staff regarding any serious incidents or required follow-ups.

We Are Looking For Someone who:

• Ideally hold a First Aid qualification (or be willing to undergo certified training, such as Emergency First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid).
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is an advantage.
• A calm, patient, and approachable manner when dealing with children, parents, and staff.
