NHS Jobs is recruiting a part-time Mental Health Act Administrator to support the legal requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 at Cygnet St Williams. This 12-bed Neuropsychiatric service offers care to those with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological diseases, providing a chance to make a real impact.
The role involves diary management, audit work, and liaison with hospital teams. Competitive benefits and DBS checks are included.
Competenze
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Previous admin experience including report prep and meetings.
- Experience in a healthcare environment desirable.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA 1983).
- Knowledge of compliance and auditing systems (CQC).
Mansioni
- Scrutinise section papers and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Update diaries and hearing listings.
- Notify parties of deadlines and hearing dates.
- Chase reports for Tribunal and Managers Hearings.
- Contact Hospital Managers and arrange attendance at Hearings.
- Assist Tribunal Clerk; ensure room setup and paperwork, liaise with Panel.
- Data input for MH Act spreadsheets.
- Complete MH Act audits using corporate templates.
- Adapt to new protocols for Tribunals/Managers Hearings (COVID-19).
- Liaise with external agencies and MDT within hospital.
