Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking an experienced Maths Lecturer for Alnwick campus on a permanent contract. The post is 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days) across Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with teaching across Maths, including GCSEs and Functional Skills.

The role requires planning, delivering engaging teaching, and supporting learners to achieve their goals. You will plan programmes, use innovative methods including e-learning, and participate in QA activities and standardisation

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Maths courses at further education or adult education level.
• Ability to use innovative teaching methods including e-learning.
• Commitment to supporting learners to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and development of Maths programmes across the County.
• Deliver good or Outstanding teaching and learning, incorporating innovative methods.
• Plan and deliver additional learning support and adjust teaching strategies for learners.
• Implement assessment procedures to review progress and conduct regular progress reviews with learners.
