Hays Senior Finance is partnered with a growing, leading employer in Swindon to appoint an analytical, qualified Senior Management Accountant to their team. This role has arisen due to an internal move in a team that has excellent tenure and collaboration.

Your new role

You'll join the team as a Senior Management Accountant, overseeing accounting closing processes, working closely with other specialist teams in the finance and risk departments. You'll support internal performance reporting and ensure compliance with reporting standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes
2. Reconcile performance reporting with financial reporting standards
3. Post unrealised derivatives and accruals for realised transactions
4. Collaborate with controlling and risk teams, providing analysis
5. Analyse and support the resolution of technical accounting, process, and system-related data issues
6. Provide support for accounting projects

What you'll need to succeed

You should be a fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant, either trained in practice or industry, with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in a management accounting role within a large organisation. Additionally, you will need:

• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
• Openness to new tasks and a strong willingness to develop professionally
• Experience with SAP
