Job summary

Castle Wood School is seeking a part-time, permanent role to supervise pupils during midday breaks and assist with lunchtime routines at their Coventry site. The role includes personal care support and helping to create a safe, engaging mealtime environment.

Ideal candidates will enjoy working with children, communicate effectively with staff and pupils, and remain calm under pressure to respond to situations as they arise. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Genuine enjoyment of working with children.
• Strong communication with staff and pupils.
• Ability to stay calm and respond quickly and appropriately to situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and ensure safety during midday break across playground and classrooms.
• Assist with setting up and clearing tables and chairs before/after lunch.
• Provide personal care support when required.
• Lead and organise lunchtime play activities; supervise games and ensure safe use of equipment.
• Serve lunches following food hygiene procedures.
• Support pupils with feeding and help develop eating skills.
• Return trays and dispose of waste food.
