About the role

Churchill Estates Management is recruiting an exceptional Part-time Lodge Manager for our retirement apartments in Emsworth. We seek someone who loves working with people, with a background in administration and customer service. This varied and interesting role involves coordinating development activities and making a positive difference every day to the lives of our Home Owners, providing a hassle-free retirement living lifestyle.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll manage property maintenance and deliver first-class service to Owners. In this autonomous role, you’ll be the trusted, on-site contact and a 'friendly neighbour' for Owners. Your responsibilities include liaising with customers and suppliers, managing contractors, scheduling maintenance, completing health and safety checks, organizing activities and events for Owners, and more.

This part-time role is crucial to the success of the Lodge and the enjoyment of Owners, offering a rewarding experience.

About you

This position is ideally suited to individuals with experience in retirement living, social housing, hospitality, uniformed services, charity, or health & social care sectors. A successful candidate is someone who enjoys working front of house and delivering excellent customer service with strong administrative skills.

You should have a passion for customer service, an outgoing and friendly personality, and the ability to act with sensitivity and diplomacy. You must be efficient, assertive, and capable of managing safety and security with good judgment and composure under pressure. While engaging socially with residents, you should also be comfortable working independently and using your initiative.

To assist with organizing events and maintaining the site, you should be an accomplished, computer-literate administrator, experienced with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
