Job summary

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is seeking a Part-time Lifeguard for our Leven centre. You will supervise users of all ages, ensure safe use of facilities and maintain cleanliness and order throughout the building.

The role requires current RLSS NPLQ and PVG scheme membership before appointment. You will work as part of a team, deliver excellent customer care, and participate in health and safety training and routine pool/plantroom tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.
• PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland is required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Leisure Centre users of all ages and groups, ensuring safe facility use and cleanliness.
• Oversee safety and behaviour, directing activities to prevent injury or damage.
• Adhere to operating procedures, Safety policy and Health & Safety principles.
• Attend Health & Safety training to maintain required competency.
• Provide trained assistance to users in difficulty (poolside lifeguarding).
• Patrol the building for maintenance and security.
• Supervise children's activities, including parties and Activity Camps.
• Carry out pool tests and assist in plant room operations as appropriate.
• Attend regular training to maintain fitness and competency.
• Undertake basic admin tasks: bookings, cash handling, reception.
