Job summary

Chorley Council is seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team at All Seasons Leisure Centre and Brinscall Swimming Pool, delivering Learn to Swim lessons for all ages. Working within Swim England’s Learn to Swim framework, you’ll create safe, fun, high‑quality lessons for our Learn to Swim programme and school sessions.

This role requires SE Level 2 or STA Level 2, a DBS check, and is part time (up to 15 hours/week) with a rate of £18.42 per hour; closing date 31 October

Qualifications

Experience delivering swimming lessons to a range of ages and abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate correct techniques.
Positive, patient teaching style with a focus on safety.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Learn to Swim criteria and national curriculum requirements.
Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs, including SEND.
Plan, prepare and deliver progressive lesson plans across ability groups.
Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
Be a role model and ensure high‑quality, safe swimming lessons.
