Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Part-time Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant to support our Early Years team. The role runs five afternoons per week from 12:20pm to 3:10pm, focusing on child-led play and responsive learning.

You will work with children, families and staff to create a nurturing environment, support pupils with additional needs and contribute to observations of progress. Applications from bilingual Welsh/English speakers are welcome.

Salary: £8,493 - £8,628

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and proactive Part-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This role is perfect for someone who understands and embraces a \"planning in the moment\" approach, supporting children's learning through their interests, curiosity, and play.

5 afternoons a week - 12.20pm - 3.10pm

You will:

• Support children's learning through responsive, child-led interactions
• Experience of working with pupils with additional needs
• Be patient and adaptable
• Have knowledge of May I Join You/ Intensive Interaction strategies and play
• Have knowledge/understanding of trauma informed approaches
• Create a nurturing, stimulating environment that promotes independence and exploration
• Build strong relationships with children, staff, and families
