Job summary

Plume Academy is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to start from Autumn 2026 on a fixed-term basis until 21 July 2027. The role supports SEND students’ learning, progress and wellbeing within a strong SEND department in a good Ofsted-rated academy.

The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE at grade C or equivalent Level 2, with desirable TA or childcare qualifications. The position runs 30 hours per week, term time only, with a supportive environment and CPD

Qualifications

• The successful applicant should have Maths and English at minimum C grade GCSE or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
• Desirable qualifications include TA qualification, childcare qualification or A levels/Level 3 qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support progress, learning, achievement and wellbeing of SEND students.
• Work in line with National Curriculum, codes of practice and academy policies.
• Contribute to safeguarding and promoting welfare of students.
