Job summary

King’s Academy Ringmer is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND department for 30 hours per week, five days a week (term-time only). The role begins September 2026 and supports students with additional needs in classroom settings and small groups, alongside the SENCO and SEND team to raise standards.

There are opportunities for CPD with input from Educational Psychologists and other professionals, and timetabled admin time is allocated for planning and enrichment groups.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with additional needs desirable.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting and with small groups.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually and in small groups to aid academic progress and wellbeing.
• Assist the SENCO and SEND department to raise standards and outcomes.
