Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in a construction academy setting, two days per week on a fixed-term basis. You will support learners with additional learning needs to engage with their programme and EHCPs, creating a calm, inclusive learning space and helping learners progress toward their chosen profession.

The role focuses on Wednesday and Thursday mornings/afternoons, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and positive learner outcomes within a passionate team.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learners with additional learning needs in FE.
• Knowledge of working with young people with SEND and EHCPs.
• Calm, patient attitude and genuine passion for helping learners.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with additional learning needs to access and engage with their programme.
• Work closely with learners who have EHCPs.
• Help create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Assist learners to develop the skills and confidence to succeed in their chosen profession.
