Job summary

Access Education Group is seeking a friendly Learner Support Assistant to join our Liverpool team. You will provide essential learner support, helping remove barriers to learning and ensuring learners have the resources and encouragement they need to succeed.

In this part-time role (4 days per week) you will work with teaching staff, track progress, support literacy, numeracy and digital skills, and maintain accurate records while contributing to an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational or learner support roles is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organised with good record-keeping abilities.
• Familiar with digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist learners with their educational and personal development needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support classroom activities and deliver one-to-one or small group interventions.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and management to inform learning plans.
• Help learners develop literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy skills.
• Support learners facing challenges such as additional learning needs, disabilities, or social and emotional difficulties.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of learner support activities and liaise with external agencies where appropriate.
