Job summary

Kernow Learning is seeking a KS1 Class Teacher on a part-time 0.6 FTE basis (Wednesday to Friday) for a fixed term until August 2027. You will plan high-quality lessons, monitor pupil progress and promote inclusion within a caring school community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that engage, challenge and support all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using assessment information to inform teaching and learning.
• Create a positive learning environment that promotes high standards of achievement, behaviour and inclusion.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and those needing additional challenge.
• Build partnerships with parents, carers and colleagues to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
• Participate fully in professional development, school events and team collaboration.
• Uphold the school's values and fulfil duties in the Teachers' Standards.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
