Job summary

Potters Resorts Five Lakes is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team with cleaning, basic food prep and high hygiene standards.

Approximately 20–25 hours per week with shifts 7:30am–4:00pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm. Pay £10.85–£12.71 per hour, dependent on age. A UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential as public transport cannot reach us.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Keep kitchen work areas floors and surfaces clean and hygienic.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen waste safely.
• Store food and equipment properly to maintain safety.
• Assist with deliveries and keep stock organized.
• Follow safety procedures and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Porter at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen work areas, including floors and surfaces, are kept clean and hygienic.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and helping chefs as needed.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all food and equipment are stored properly to maintain health and safety standards.
• Assist with deliveries, ensuring stock is organized and stored appropriately.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards in line with Food Safety regulations.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Hours:

Part-time role, approx 20 - 25hours per week

Shifts will be either, or a combination of:

7:30am – 4:00pm

2pm - 10.30

Pay:Earn between £10.85 and £12.71 per hour, depending on your age

*A UK driving licence and your own vehicle is essential as you will be unable to reach us using public transport.

*This is a permanent position - unfortunately, we are unable to consider students looking for work during their college/university holidays.
