Job summary

The Manor in Exminster, part of Stonehaven Healthcare Ltd, is looking for a Kitchen Staff Member to work 21 hours per week (7:30am–2:30pm Tue, Fri and Sat). You will help prepare meals, manage kitchen tasks, and support residents with dietary needs in a caring environment.

Role requires a positive, flexible attitude and ability to work with care staff to meet residents’ needs; rate of pay is £13.17–£13.42 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home or hospital kitchen is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations is beneficial.
• Understanding of special diets and allergies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals per menus and dietary needs.
• Assist with daily prep tasks and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Bake cakes and prepare light refreshments for residents.
• Ensure meals are attractive, on time, and hygienic.
• Monitor temperatures and stock rotation; report discrepancies.
