Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is hiring for a part-time, permanent role in our Water Chemistry department in Belfast. You will prepare standards and reagents, perform sample preparation and chemical analysis, and ensure accurate data entry and compliance with UKAS/ISO 17025 standards.

Degree in Chemistry or Environmental Chemistry is essential; experience in water testing is advantageous. The role offers competitive benefits and a supportive environment within a global leader in analytical testing.

• Experience working in water testing would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standards and reagents according to established protocols.
• Perform sample preparation and conduct chemical analysis using a variety of techniques, apparatus, and instrumentation.
• Accurately enter data into the laboratory database, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Maintain precise record-keeping in line with the UKAS quality system requirements.
• Record and manage sample details upon receipt at the laboratory.
• Ensure all records meet the requirements for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Assist with general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment

This is a part time, permanent position, shifts could be either of the following:
