Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Chemistry Department Support role in Livingston. You will assist with chemistry testing, method verification, lab housekeeping and materials management, contributing to efficient operations.

The role requires a life sciences degree and familiarity with GMP/GLP; ability to work independently or in a team, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Hours: 39 hours per week,09:00 - 17:15 (4 days), 09:00 - 17:30 (1 day)

The purpose of this job is to support the operation and development of the Chemistry department.

• Chemistry testing.
• Method verification.
• Laboratory house-keeping.
• Management of chemistry materials.
• Management of laboratory glassware.
• Management of laboratory waste.
• Maintain laboratory log books.
• Perform required inter-company support activities.
• Perform LabGuard activities.
• CAPA.
• Support equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
• Propose and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Degree in life sciences is preferred.

Experience/skills

• Experience in Pharmacopeia testing is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a GMP- or GLP-regulated environment and/or within a Chemistry role.
• Good understanding of GMP.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Demonstrates competency in work.
• Good organisation skills.
