Job summary

Freedom Care is seeking a part-time nanny to support a family with their six-month-old baby in New Milton. The role requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location. Initial hours are 9 per week, with scope for expansion as the family’s needs grow.

The successful candidate will follow the baby’s routine, provide attentive and warm care, and help with feeding, sleep, and development through age-appropriate play. Flexibility for occasional evenings is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with babies
• Knowledge of infant development, feeding and routine
• Able to lift and carry a baby
• Comfortable with a household with pets and working alongside parents

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, responsive care for the baby
• Follow established routines for feeding, sleep and daily care
• Prepare feeds and monitor baby, sharing updates with parents
• Support weaning when appropriate
• Plan age-appropriate activities to support development
• Attend to diapering, hygiene and personal care
• Keep play areas and feeding equipment clean
• Communicate openly with parents and adapt to family routines
