Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for Queensferry Learning Community, delivering inclusive learning for children and young people with Additional Support Needs.

Salary: £36,159 - £54,453; Hours: 23.1 per week. You will work with school leaders, class teachers and Support for Learning staff to strengthen capacity for inclusion, focusing on learning, teaching, assessment, wellbeing and transitions to ensure the best possible outcomes for every learner.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching in primary with an inclusive approach.
• Knowledge of Additional Support Needs and inclusive pedagogy.
• Understanding of GIRFEC and wellbeing guidance.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders, teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary education to learners aged 3–18 with ASN.
• Work with school leaders and staff to strengthen universal provision and targeted support.
• Promote inclusion, wellbeing and positive transitions for learners.
