Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an Additional Support for Learning Teacher to deliver high-quality education to Gypsy/Traveller pupils across Aberdeenshire in both Primary and Secondary sectors.

You’ll work flexibly with majority virtual delivery and short-term face-to-face targeted support across Kemnay and wider Aberdeenshire schools, fostering inclusive environments and helping pupils grow in confidence, resilience and achievement.

Qualifications

• Network post serving the Kemnay Network and Kemnay Academy.
• PVG Scheme checks and safeguarding requirements apply.
• GTCS registration and eligibility to teach in Scotland are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver learning programmes for pupils with additional support needs.
• Provide inclusive, high-quality teaching and motivational strategies.
• Build positive relationships to support pupil confidence, resilience and engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to remove barriers to learning and promote wider achievement.
