Job Description:

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the primary function of the HR Advisor role is to provide an effective and robust Employee Relations Advisory service. You will work as part of the Health Assessment Services (HAS) team, collaborating closely with management across HAS and the wider HR teams.

The role will be embedded within the HAS business and supported by the central HR team. Occasional travel to HAS sites in Yorkshire and Northeast of England may be required.

Working part-time, for example, 3 or 4 days a week (including a Friday) or from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing performance and conduct matters, including capability and disciplinary procedures, probation management, investigations, documentation, and meetings.
  • Advising employees and managers on resolving conflicts and grievances, conducting investigations, preparing documentation, attending hearings, and facilitating mediation when needed.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, conducting exit interviews, and recommending retention strategies.
  • Providing HR policy and procedure advice.
  • Assisting with structural changes, consultations, and employee relocations.
  • Collaborating with L&D to identify development needs and implement training solutions.
  • Reporting on people metrics in line with contractual KPIs.
  • Participating in HR projects as required.
