Job summary

Actemium UK, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a proactive HR Officer to support our Huddersfield team on a part-time basis (18-22.5 hours per week). You will handle day-to-day HR administration, onboarding, documentation, and employee lifecycle tasks.

You will work with managers, maintain HR records, coordinate inductions and training, and help drive employee engagement while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR administration or HR support role.
• Good understanding of HR processes and employment documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems or databases.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confidential, professional and approachable manner.
• Relevant HR qualification (CIPD Level 5) or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR administration and support to employees and managers.
• Support recruitment activities, including onboarding.
• Prepare and maintain employment documentation, ensuring records are accurate and confidential.
• Support absence, holiday and employee lifecycle administration.
• Assist managers with HR processes and provide guidance on policies.
• Coordinate inductions, training and employee development activities.
• Maintain HR systems and personnel files, producing reports as required.
• Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and data protection compliance.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of HR processes and documentation.
